Export excel column corrupted

Hi all,

I exported a report into Excel format but the Actual Duration Column in the Excel displays gibberish.

On SD client, it shows the right value.

Istead of showing the calculated duration (0.10) it shows 6.74E-03.

The format of the column is in Scientific, if I change it to Number, the data becomes numeric but garbage value.

I tried exporting the same information to web, the results are fine.

What could have caused the gibberish of data?..

Thanks.

Re: Export excel column corrupted

Hi Amy,

When you write any thing in excel with some decimal value then it takes the scientific data by default. To avoid this.Select the coloum ,right click and goto format cells. Now choose the category as number and allow the decimals upto 2 fields and choose the desired symbol.

This will solve your issue of importing 0.10 value.

Re: Export excel column corrupted

Hey guys!

Thanks for the tip. Changing the format to 'Time' worked.

However, the time difference is off by one second for all the entries...

Eg:
Registration Created: 10:05
Actual Finish: 10:15
Actual Duration: 0:09

It should be 0:10...

Any ideas?

Re: Export excel column corrupted

The second difference was solved by setting the Time format more detailed down to the seconds.

Another possible bug to look into i guess.

Thanks for all yoy help!
