Error when modifying existing custom field

I have an old custom field on Change which I want to re-use.

I have made sure the field is not part of any rules or in any form. However if I try to rename it or block it for that matter I get this error message:

JDBC error 8152: [GDC-VTST-D02\DEV]String or binary data would be truncated., SQL state: 22001 for query: UPDATE ifc_attributes
SET atr_name= ?
,atr_custfieldact= 0
,atr_lockseq= atr_lockseq + 1
WHERE ((((atr_oid = ?)
AND (atr_lockseq = ?))))
Values:
?Send email (The email will not be sent before the case is saved)

Any ideas?

Re: Error when modifying existing custom field

Seems to me that you're trying to rename it to "Send email (The email will not be sent before the case is saved)" which seems to be way too long for the column that should hold the name of the field. Try using shorter name and see if it works.

Re: Error when modifying existing custom field

Aha.

It actually had that name already.

After I renamed it to a shorter one I can modify it as I want :)

Thanks!
