Error accessing file on FTP server

hi,
Am using sd5.1 patch1 on windows 2003 sp1
the attachement configuration is successful and when i try to do an attachement on the server it works successfully.
but for the client i can save the attachement and i can not access it i get the attached error.
Is there a way to fix this

Re: Error accessing file on FTP server

Hi there,

The error is saying that the attachment server is refusing the connection. Are you using the SD server as your attachment server? Also do you have a firewall between the client machine and the server? You may need to get the ftp port opened up if so.

Hope this helps

Re: Error accessing file on FTP server

hi ruth,
i am using the sd server as the attachement server and i have no firewall between the client and the server.
does the server need to be loged in as a user in the domain in order to make the client work ?

Thanks

Re: Error accessing file on FTP server

Hi there,

Replace localhost by the DNS name of the server and it should work.

Hope this helps

Re: Error accessing file on FTP server

yes i did and i am still getting the same error. both server and client must be loged in in the domain ?
My server login is local
and the client is part of the domain
Does this has any relation with our problem ?
Thx

Re: Error accessing file on FTP server

Hi there,

I am not sure what your question about the domain means.

The user name and password you enter should be an account you have configured for the Default FTP site properties when you set the server up as an ftp server (Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools> Computer Management then Services and Applications and select Default FTP Site & right click for properties).

hope this helps
