Does Servicedesk 4.5 work with SQL2008

We are moving to a New SQL server and we want to run SQL 2008 with server 2008 R1 64 bit as the operating system. Is anyone else running this configuration? Our App server is a VM with service desk 4.5 SP20 .The reason we are moving to this config is because we are experiencing Deadlock files that are causing our application to lock up. According to a forum entry from here this is one of our problems. It suggests SQL 2005, but since we are making up a new server we want to use the most up to date software we can

Thanks for any help or insight..

SQL 2005 is already supported...

Regarding windows 2008 AFAIK, this is gonna be supported until upcoming Service Pack 35... not sure about 64 bits though.
