Differences in View and expert search

One query has been configured as below:

assignment#"TFS-C-OPS-DBASE" and ( open.time>= tod()-'5 00:00:00') and
resolution.code="Ticket closed from HPOV" and 1 in action#"DBSPI-0206.1"

This query when run through expert search gives the desired results, but when it was ran through view it didn't produce any result. Using view it is not able to search for '1 in action#"DBSPI-0206.1" ' where action is of type array and having CLOB in it. Can someone please help to understand if there is any difference in performing search through view or expert search?

Re: Differences in View and expert search

Hi Vishal,

Most of the cases both expert search and query field in views gives same result.May be if you get more tickets in expert search ,It is very difficult to get the data in view as it puts heavy load on the view .
so you will not get the same thing in view.

I would appreciate , If you reword me points.

Thanks

Re: Differences in View and expert search

Different RAD code is being used for these searches and there is a known issue logged for the situation you are describing: QCCR1E51346

The workaround is to modify the query for the view. Instead of 1 in action, just put action and it should return the expected result.

Re: Differences in View and expert search

I tried as per your suggestion and removed 1 from action field and then run the query in View but of no use. Let me know if there is any other way.
