Deleting OVSD Objects

Trying to delete a workgroup. See attached.

Can anyone tell me how to track down the relation that is preventing me from deleting it?

Thank you.

Re: Deleting OVSD Objects

Hi Ivor,

Try using the action References when you from have the WG open in a form.

Also what happens if you press the Details button on the error?

Hope this helps

Selected Action -> References

"There are no references to this object"

Below are the details from the error message:

Re: Deleting OVSD Objects

Hi Ivor,

Hmm! I did notice that Refernces does not seem to include the persons whoa re members of the WG so you could check that.

After that I can only suggest blocking the WG and renaming it to something like "Z_DO_NOT_USE" or getting someone who knows SQL to try and find out what object in Sd had OID 00000000-0000-0000-02f5-aa53f2767ee5.

Hope this helps

Re: Deleting OVSD Objects

Hi,
Could you find a solution for this issue?
I am having a similar problem. I deleted some users from User Bank and I am trying to import data from Management Server to Service Navigator. But I get the error below:

com.hp.ov.obs.ApplicationException: This object cannot be deleted, because the following object(s) of type message id are related to it: 00000000-0000-0000-0231-c51a086574b6
at com.hp.ov.obs.impl.wf.AppTransactionEx.commit(AppTransactionEx.java:201)
at com.hp.ov.obs.impl.wf.AppEntity.commit(AppEntity.java:3113)
at com.hp.ov.obs.EntityDelegate.commit(EntityDelegate.java:271)
at com.hp.ov.cadm.cl.OVOServer.synchronizeMessageIds(OVOServer.java:666)
at com.hp.ov.cadm.cl.OVOServer.synchronizeMessageIds(OVOServer.java:614)
at com.hp.ov.cadm.wpf.listeners.servnavsystem.Authorization_OkListener$myTask.executeTask(Authorization_OkListener.java:418)
at com.hp.ov.cadm.wpf.util.ProgressTask.run(ProgressTask.java:35)

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks.
