Database rules scheduler

Im using OVSD 4.5 SP 18 on windows 2k3

I have a DB rules that will set a scheduler to email and alert 1 minutes after the case is breach the SLA.

The thing is , there's one case that been assigned from Critical to Moderate, but still trigger the Crital breach email alert out.

SD suppose to overwrite the older schedule with the new SLA schedule rite?

Why it still triggering the old SLA DBrule scheduler?

Pls help. I'll give points.

Re: Database rules scheduler

Syura,

Once a task is scheduled, it will never be deleted or overwritten.

What you must do is to add a criterion to the execution of the rule to ensure that the value is still Critical. In this way, the task will indeed execute one minute after the triggering event; however, it will not execute anything because the conditions are no longer met.

Re: Database rules scheduler

Hi Josh,

Your suggestion sound great but how to do that?

The dbrule is below
----

Database Rule Email SLA Alert - 1 day to Deadline for 30CD

No Alerts When problem note is created
OR When problem note is modified
where NOT (Status (*) equals CLOSED)
AND NOT (Service (*) is empty)
AND Impact (*) equals 30 CD
AND NOT (Deadline (*) is empty, Schedule the validation of this condition at 1 day Before Deadline)

Email SLA Alert - 1 day to Deadline for 30CD (Send e-mail message) , Send to: [Assignment; To workgroup] ,[Assignment; To person;E-mail], Subject: SLA Alert for [ID] : 1 Day to Deadline, Message: Service Level Agreement: [SLA]

Incident/Problem Record: [ID]

Please note that Case [ID] is being monitored and has 1 day to reach the dea dline.

Your action is required to ensure that t he case is closed before [Deadline]
----------

Is it another DBrule? or additional condition in the above dbrule?

Re: Database rules scheduler

Hi Vasily,

After I did Select Execute Only Once, The scheduler is working fine. Even after the value changed, only the laste scheduler is trigger.

Thanks.
