Data exchange of CI and relating it to users

Hi,
I want to export the CI items in SD and then relate it to a specific user.
And also want to make a parent child relation ship between the CI's e.g IF CPU is a Parent then the Monitor and Keyboard, mouse etc will be the child.
Is it possible by uploading it from excel.
Can i skip the manul work of adding it indivually.

please suggest as i want to do it urgently

Hello ESC,

of course you can use a excel file to get date (CIs) into SD.

Prepare the excel file (adjust the main key CI and user, define the data range...)
Export the Excel data to xml.
Define the mapping and import the xml.

You should import the relations between the CIs in a separate import or at least in a separate class.

Please concrete where you have problems.

Best regards
