from the Service Desk point of view, it should not make any impact, just make sure to stop all SD services while doing the changes.
Before start the SD services, you may want to: 1. Verify that DNS and name resolution is OK between your SD/DB servers and your SD client/SD servers communication. 2. Clear the content to the rep_servers and rep_sessions tables 3. Clear the SD servers cache and request to SD users to clear their client cache.
I am not sure about the impact to yuor other OpenView products.
