DB rule to concatenate two fields?

Hi All,

I have written a DB rule to concatenate two fields, but the text is concatenated immediately after the previous text. I would like to know how to concatenate in the next line of the previous data. I did try the "\n" for next line, but doesnt work.

Regards,

Re: DB rule to concatenate two fields?

Hi,

you need to concatenate text 1 with a carraige return then with text 2

To do this you need an exrta concatenation in between them. When you have this in the rule you need to double click the value field which will open up a text box and in here add one (sometimes 2) carracge returns (press enter twice).

Then finish the rule with the concatenation of text 2.

There have been some good posts on the forum if you do a search - some may have a screenshot or two to help.

Re: DB rule to concatenate two fields?

Had to include "%line.separator%" in value, did not take carriage return (pressing enter). Thanks Mark, thanks Roman Scherbakov.
