Creating a a Service Call using the WEB API

HI Friends,
I am Trying to Create a Service call with the WEB API, and i am using an Excel file as input for te Service call.
Can someone help me with this?

What is your particular scenario? Why is Web-API your weapon of choice?

There may be easier alternatives...

I am going to do a Batch creating! just imagine this:
Excel file contains Application name, and desc and information. With this I will have to pull up the necessary details and fill up the Service call details and save them. This is for one call. like this I might have 100 to do. Instead of creating them one by one. I can write a program in Java and do it. which looks easier.

Why not use Data Exchange instead?

Hello,

what you want can be easily done using Data Exchange feature.

1. Extract data from Excel to XML (via ODBC), 2. Build the Import Mapping in SD side,
3. Import the XML file into SD system.
