Creating Codes

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a new change code with no success. I'm logged on as System, using SD 4.5 SP12.
The "Create New" is greyed out. I can modify existing, but can't create new - in any category. Any ideas?

Hi allan,

You need to activate a custom code filed and then you can give it values.

Go to Tools>System>Data>Custom fields>Change and then find a code in the lsit; give it the name you want and activate for all catgories or just for the ones it applies to.

Then go to Tools>System>Data>Codes>Change and press F5; if your new code does not appear logout/in again.

Hi Ruth,

Thanks for that. Foolishly, I went to help and it said to right click in the change codes window and select new from the popup.

I hope v5 fisxes a lot of this stuff!
