Consequences by start using Folders?

Hi

We have the need to enabled Folder Entitlement as we want to only show a certain set of services (for everyone)

We are not going to use it for anything else and we will only require 1 folder.

I have been reading up on some of the old posts about Folders and I've also heard that once you introduce Folders in HPOVSD there is no turning back?

Could someone please enlighten me as to what the consequences of using folders are and what I should watch out for?

Thanks!

Re: Consequences by start using Folders?

I would say that the main consequence is the need to create extra ROLES - however many you have you tend to need that many per folder. So then you need to be disciplined about allocating roles to accounts. But if you start simple and just put SERVICE (and SLA, and supporting CI?) into new folder then I would think you could change your mind quite easily!

Re: Consequences by start using Folders?

Why would I need to put SLA and CIs in the same folder? Is there some relation that will become blocked if I put some services in a specific folder?
