Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

Hi, I'm having problems opening attachments in my servicedesk 5.0. When I'm working directly on the server, it works fine, but on my client, I can't open attachments. When I doubleclick the attachment, the error:"java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect" pops up. Is there a config parameter I am missing?

thanks

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

Can you FTP from your client to your server?
Is it possible that there is a firewall between the client and server blocking this?

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

Are you using the default port 80 to connect to the mgmt server ?

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

I can ftp to my server. I'm using the full client version of SD5.0, not the web based client.
The funny thing is, that I can right-click on the attachment, select "save-as" and save the attachment on my computer. This works for some reason, but this approach is not wanted of course.

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

You could use a sniffer on your client side (such as ethereal) and actualy see the transaction occuring between the client and the server.

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

The funny thing is that the attachment is copied over to the client PC (c:\documents and settings.....). If I open that folder in Windows Explorer, I'm allowed to open the file, but not from the SD client. That must mean that the file transfer is working OK?

Re: Connection refused: connect when trying to open attachment

Totto,

Have a look at OV-EN021819 if you have double nic in your server. There is a known problem with attachment in relation to double nics.

Permissions: Logged in as Admin on my local PC and as admin on the servicedesk, still the same problem.

OV-EN021819: I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to this. Where can I find more info? I've tries searching these pages, but can't seem to find any result....
