Confirm before save

SD 4.5 SP 19 Win. Confirmation message is required before saving a record depending on the result a stored procedure calling.

A UI rule is made to call SP, but SD seems to be save the record independently of the result.

Any Idea?

Re: Confirm before save

Hi
Strange method! By u post, u configured execute Store procedure by UI rule, but UI Rule execute on Client side on client's PC. By this, u must grant execute SP for each SD customer. Are u like that? or u have another targets?

Re: Confirm before save

Thanks for the answare.
Sorry it was not so clear the problem description I wrote.
The situation is: before a modified record is saved a sinchronization issue is done on another DB (not the SD) with the call of stored procedeure from a script. This script is configured to call from UI rule using "before the item is saved" option. Servicedesk do not wait for the result of the script instead starts to save the record paralell with the execution of "command exec action". We must not to save the record If the synchronization script fails.

Re: Confirm before save

Ok, uderstood. but when you run script by rule action errors return in log and result( result as result from script exec) does not return to open form. for this task need use "Update data from external system", then possible return result to form and use script's result as condition in rule, next action - create another UI rule with error messages.
