Configuring ServicePages

Hi,

We have installed SD 5.1 and now tring to configure the SP for the same, I have installed SP on the server and ensured tat TOMCAT & APACHE are running. Now when i try to access SP in IE(on the server where SP and the Management server is installed) it gives page cannot be displayed (on port 80800. I have also tried editin the WEB.XML file in the WEB-INF, where in i changed the PARAM VALUE from local host to IP of the machine, computer name and local host aswell no luck.

Kindly assist me in getting the SP running.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Configuring ServicePages

Did you intentionally change the port to 80800? You might want to try a lower port number like 8888 or 8080.

Re: Configuring ServicePages

Hi,

Check out the port on which the Service Page is configured. By default it will be 8080.

Verify the same from this location.
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\service desk 4.5\service pages\conf\server.xml

Check out the below tag port="8080"

port="8080" minProcessors="5" maxProcessors="75"
enableLookups="true" redirectPort="8443"
acceptCount="10" debug="0" connectionTimeout="60000"/>

From the browser you need to connect to that port.

http://:/sd-sp45/index.html

example
http://172.30.1.175:8080/sd-sp45/index.html

Re: Configuring ServicePages

Hi Guys,

I am using port 8080, it was by mistake i typed 80800.

I have got this issue resolved, there was a bit of problem with IIS and the Apache.

Thanks a lot for responding to the post.

Nagaraj.
