Changing password using web api

Hi all,

We have some users that only access through web-api aplications.

The problem is that they have to use java client just for changing his/her password in a regular basis, even they don´t have any notification as well....

Do I can change a user password using web-api classes? Wich one may I use?

Thanx a lot.

Hi Juan,
if you are using ServicePages, change password is included yet.
if you are using your own webapplication try to use IAccountsetPassowrd() of web-api.

hope this help

Re: Changing password using web api

Thanks Simone!

Now I´ve found another way to avoid user application password to expire.

I included the following syntax to my programs

IAccount account = session.getCurrentAccount();
account.setPasswordModificationDate(ApiDateUtils.date2Double(new Date()));

And then, if the user keeps logging into the application, they will not need to change his/her password.

Even it`s usefull for batch applications.

Thanks a lot again.

Re: Changing password using web api

What I was really looking for was avoiding user passwords to expire, and now I know how to do it.
