Cannot install SD Client in Windows XP ("ChartFX missing")

Hi all,
when I launch OpenView Service Desk 4.5 after the installation in Windows XP (service pack 1) I get an error message (attached) that two components are missing or have an incorrect version:
-Janus GridEX
-Chart FX 98

Even applying the latest patch 8 there is no way to launch OpenView.

Any help in this matter would be gretly appreciated !!

Thanks.

Re: Cannot install SD Client in Windows XP ("ChartFX missing")

Hi,

You have to run the register.bat file under:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Software FX Shared

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Software GridEx Shared

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Software Sheridan Shared

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Software SupraSoft Shared

After this the client will work fine.

Regards,

Martin

Re: Cannot install SD Client in Windows XP ("ChartFX missing")

I try to register Janus GridEX and Chart FX 98: Chart FX 98 is ok, but Janus GridEX display an error: "DllRegisterServer in GridEx20.ocx failed. Return code was: 0x80004005" and "DllRegisterServer in Grid20Fix.dll failed. Return code was: 0x80004005"
What I can do? Some help, please

I have the identical problem with a user, the regsvr32 command returns an error.
Can you calrify this statement, extract and compare?
