Cannot do export current view to file

Dear All,

Wondering if you guys have experienced with this issue;

I cannot do export to file from client console, where should I start look for this issue?

It will only create an excel file or word file with 0 size.

But if I export it to web (html or xml), it works fine.

Maybe there are some configuration files that currupted?

Additional information:

I'm using SD5.1 patch 2.

And the issue only happened on service call workspace...

Hello Eric,

What is the current report style? (File/Report Style). Try to change it and export again.

Do you mean File / Report Format ?

I changed to everything and still cannot export.

Anyway i just reported by one of servicedek agent that they cannot close the ticked. Said the item had been changed by system or other user, the differences have to be merged.
(attached the screenshot)

but unfortunately I cannot merge and still cannot close this ticket.

Is there are relation with this issue?

Hi Eric,

In my 5.1 SP2.1 system, I can export to an excel file but the data columns do not line up with the heading (see attached).

But I prefer to do an Edit >Select All then Edit>Copy and then open a new excel file and paste this in - and this does seem to work

Yes if I copy paste to excel it's fine.

Just wondering why in 5.0 patch 1 everything fine (it's alligned fine, and already been used for 1+ month for creating daily report) but after upgrade, we have this issue.

What happened here is we cannot click "Finish". when we click on "Finish" button at the end of export process, nothing happened and the windows won't get closed.

Hi Eric,

Export-problem: I have the same problem - I use HTML - this is OK.


Merge problem: I have the same problem. In my case its was Assignment; Assignment status = NEW.
1) I opened and closed those ticket without changing -> the assignment status goes to ACCEPT.
2) Then I can open, modify, save the ticket without MERGE-problems.

My workaround: change the assignment status before saving the ticket via UI-rule.
Disadvantage: Notification can't work correctly.

If rule-debugging is enabled then this happens less then rule-debugging is disabled.

Same problem exist in SC, Problem, Change, ?

Hi Josef,

THanks for replying.

For merge problem, I can solve it by telling the user who has administrator rights to close the ticket.

This happened usually when the ticket have change in "assignment to" field. Usually when the engineer try to reassign the ticket to another group.

I will check and try to solve with your solution.

So i guess your issue hasn;t solved yet right? you sometimes still had that merge problem.
