Calculated Fields in SD 4.5, SP11

After defining a calculated field in SD 4.5, SP11, how do you configure or further define how to add/subtract to that particular calculated field? Is is through UI or DB rule? If so, how?

I would like to track the amount of time a "Change" is in a particular Status before it is approved. I was thinking a calculated field may work, but am missing some dots to connect between A and C.

Any ideas on how to best accomplish this are appreciated?

Re: Calculated Fields in SD 4.5, SP11

I tried this on OVSD 4.5 SP13 and it is working fine.

I have documented steps in the attachment.

Re: Calculated Fields in SD 4.5, SP11

Dear,

The document of Ganesha Sridhara clearly shows how to add a value to a service desk field.
But I donâ t think it offers a way to do time tracking.

I think the best way to get an overview of the different elapsed times of every status would be a reporting tool.
For example the Business Objects based Westbury Report Manager allows you to calculate the time between two different time stamps from the history lines.
This way you could get a clear overview of the elapsed time of each status.

Best regards,
Robby.
