CI's and Changes

Hello,

We were wondering if there was a way to create an email alert when there are multiple changes with the same CI within a given time frame. (E.g. this week).

Thanks

Re: CI's and Changes

Craig,

To my knowledge, there is no built-in functionality that does this.

You can create a DB rule triggered by a new or updated change where the CI changes, which passes that CI to an external program which does a query on the database and returns a value which you put in some field in the change.

Create a second DB rule that is triggered when that field is updated. Send an email containing the value in the field (presumably, the ids of the other changes).

So essentially it can be done with an external app and a fair bit of time and effort.

Thanks for the reply Josh and congrats on your recent coronation! =)
