Available Views depending on users

Does anyone know if there is a possibillity that some views, when you are in the Servicecall section, are only visibile for some users?

We have so many views which will not be used by all users so there was the question if it is possible that group A does not see the views which group B needs.

Servicedesk 4.5, SP28, Client 2008

Thank you in advance

Re: Available Views depending on users

You can define what views see each user according to their role.

Edit each role> Service Call attribute> Views> here you can relate/unrelate the views that users with this role can see.

But is there a possibilty that I can say group B should NOT watch them? The strange thing is the views are not assigned to anyone but visible for anyone.

Re: Available Views depending on users

As Err states, Views are defined by Roles. If a View is not included in the Role, then users should not be able to select that View in their clients.

Check by closing the SD client and removing the Views.dat file from a Group B PC. Start the SD client and see if the unwanted View is still there.

Hope this helps.
Points are welcome.
