Approval groups are configured in the SD profile

Hi All,

In the OOB, the approval groups are configured in the SD profile and that is a big problem because the profiles are not company dependent but the approval groups are.

Profiles are shared by many company and then it's not possible to put approval groups in the SD profile. Since it's not acceptable for each profile to create as many profiles as there are some companies

Is there a way to break the correlation between what is non-company specific (the profile) and what is company-specific (the approval group).

Regards,

Re: Approval groups are configured in the SD profile

Why is it unacceptable to have different SD profiles for users from different companies?

That sounds like a perfectly workable and accepable solution.

Re: Approval groups are configured in the SD profile

Hi Abhijit,

Approval groups are defined in Service desk profiles and approval groups are company dependent but service desk profiles are not .

We are thinking of creating same profiles for every company instead of different profiles for every company as we have a multi client architecture, but the only issue is that SD profile have Approval groups which are company dependent.

So Is there a way to break the correlation between what is non-company specific (the profile) and what is company-specific (the approval group).

Re: Approval groups are configured in the SD profile

Hi John,

Thanks for suggestion.
I know that we can have different SD profiles for different companies.

But we are thinking of creating same profiles for every company instead of different profiles for different company as we have a multi client architecture, but the only issue is that SD profile have Approval groups which are company dependent.

So Is there a way to break the correlation between what is non-company specific (the profile) and what is company-specific (the approval group).

So is this achievable ?
