Advanced find view not applied in SD

Hi hi,

I have SD 5 on Win2k3.
I made a role on SD in which there is only 1 View for Service Calls.
This View restrict the Service Calls to those which have the Advanced rule "FIELD equals VALUE" defined in the View.

When I use the Advanced Find (for Service Calls) I see that View in the form, but the results (after push Search now) are not restricted, just as this view is not selected.

Why is it happening?

Hi,

To apply filters in the Advance Find and Quick Find windows you need to change this by selecting the following option:

Administrator Console> General Settings> "Apply filter in advanced find, Quick find And Overview Action Results"

Notice that this feature is available only in latest service packs, I believe it is after SP17.

Thank you.

So do I need SP17 also to apply a view to advanced find? I think it's strange, have you experienced it?
(maybe the view is a group of filters?)

Hello,

Sorry I did not read properly that you were on SD5...

Take a look at the attached image, it shows you what option you should enable to have the same results from the View in the Advance Find after push search.

System Settings> General Settings> Apply Filters in Advanced Find and Quick Find

Sorry Err I thought it was SD4.

Now I checked on my SD5 and I see that I have not the last 4 flags.

Maybe I need a SP or a patch?
How do I see the SP of my SD?

Hi,

no problem... open a command prompt and run the following command: ovsdversion

Put here the output and I can tell you what version you have.

Hi,

SD5.0 is an old version, latest version available is SD5.1 Patch7...

If you do not have these options, then I guess the only solution I could think of now is to start thinking about an upgrade of your application.

I have not see SD5.0 in a very long time, so I can not remember if those "apply filter..." options were available or not.

I see in upgraded version the flag of filter in advanced find and quick find
