A simple question: Abou To Workgroup

Is it possible make the "To Workgroup" a required field? If Yes, how?

Hi Marcela,

Yes, you can make it required. Open the Service Desk client. Then open the "Administrator Console" ("Tools"->"System"). Then browse to "Security"->"Prevention"->"Required Fields". Under required fields, choose "Assignment". You should then see a small window with a dropdown in the upper right. Click that dropdown so that it expands and then highlight the "To Workgroup" field. Once it is selected, choose the "Always required" option.

Please note that this will affect all items (Service calls, problems, etc.) that use the assignment field.

Please, check my screenshot.
This field "Assignment" dont appear on the Work Order list.

My Service Desk version is 4,5 no patches installed.

Hi Marcela,

Rather than double-clicking "Work Order" on that screen, you have to scroll up to the top and find "Assignment" there. Then double-click "Assignment" and you'll see "To Workgroup" as an available field.

I'll attach a screenshot so you can see better what I mean. Hope it's clear.
