8060 bytes size limit on SQL Server rows

I resently bumped into an article "8060 bytes size limit on SQL Server rows" and when i checked the Database of HPSD, i was able to find custom tables like "ITSM_CIT_CUSTOM_FIELDS" was more than that around 56473 bytes? Will this cause any data lose? Can somebody help what would be an alternative for this?

Re: 8060 bytes size limit on SQL Server rows

Hi,

When you try to populate a row with more than 8K of data, you will run into problems.

Limits row size to 8060 bytes.

Try MS SQL 2005
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms186981.aspx

Try Oracle DB.

Mihai
