8000 views of analyzed data- How to delete them

In SD 4.5 service pack 18 there is apparently known problem that goes like this: If you don't have a default view defined for every type of analyzed data, each time someone logs in, a new view is created for each type of analyzed data! The result is we have 8000 views of analyzed data on our system causing it to run very slow.
I have assigned a default view to each role with access to analyzed data. However, all those errant views need to be deleted. Is there a quick way to delete them? Deleting views individually through the console takes about 60 seconds for each view which amounts to 133 hours!

Re: 8000 views of analyzed data- How to delete them

Hi Del,

We had *exactly* the same problem, but we got 20500 views. HP Support detected that an gave us the following SQL:

For selecting:
Select count(*) from rep_javaobjects
where jav_oid in
( select vti_jav_oid
from rep_view_title_locale,rep_view_title_infos
where vti_oid=vtl_vti_oid
and vtl_text like 'Analyzed%')

and this one is for delete them:
delete from rep_javaobjects
where jav_oid in
( select vti_jav_oid
from rep_view_title_locale,rep_view_title_infos
where vti_oid=vtl_vti_oid
and vtl_text like 'Analyzed%')

As far as it´s a risky task, I suggest you checking it with HP Support also,

Back up your system, test it before in a developement environment, and using it´s at your own risk and responsability ;-)

Hope this help,
