4.5 attachments on Citrix - need help

Hi Guys,

We are using citrix for our 4.5 (sp20) environment and I have a problem opening attachments.

If the caller have attached for example a .xls file, how can I access it? is there a "save" function? I can't just open it when using citrix.

Thanks in advance

Re: 4.5 attachments on Citrix - need help

Hi there,

HPSD uses ftp to provide attachments and the system administrator sets up the connection to be used for this.

So with Citrix, you need to get your citrix adminstrator to confirm that the machine you have set up as your attachment server can be accessed by the user name specified in SD attachments settings.

Hope this helps, Ruth

Re: 4.5 attachments on Citrix - need help

Hi Ruth,

I can easily access .jpg and .txt files, because these applications I can open from within Citrix. But if a caller attach a file of unknown type (for example .xls), I can't access it in citrix.

If I could get the file to my local computer, then it would be no problem, but I can't find any way to save the file...I can only choose to open it.

Hi Niels,

Have you tried dragging the attachment to a windows explorer? This seems to work on my system though I am not sure whether it would woork via citrix.

Hope this helps, Ruth

Re: 4.5 attachments on Citrix - need help

Hi Ruth,

Can't drag anything from Citrix. if there is no "save attachment" function, maybe a workaround would be to create a "Mail attachment to assigned person" button, but I dont know if that is possible.

Re: 4.5 attachments on Citrix - need help

Hi Neils,

You can set up an email via a DB rule to do this but I think the best solution would be to get your citrix admin to allow the other associations,

Regards, Ruth

PS it is usual to give out some points (not necessarily a lot!) if someone tries to help
