utility_portlets.war issue when applying patch#0005 on 9.14

Hi,

 

We are getting below error in the log file while applying patch#0005 on PPM 9.14, PPM is on Windows machine and we have given all the access similar to PPM home on the below folders mentioned.

 

created: deploy/
java.io.FileNotFoundException: deploy\utility_portlets.war (Access is denied)
 at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method)
 at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:194)
 at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:145)
 at sun.tools.jar.Main.copy(Main.java:781)

 at sun.tools.jar.Main.extract(Main.java:850)
 at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:240)
 at sun.tools.jar.Main.main(Main.java:1147)

Try starting PPM using kStart.sh from Cygwin, and then retry your kDeploy.

Hi,

I usually have this error in Windows machines. Sometimes the file system permissions are not properly propagated.

The solution is to re-apply the permissions starting with the PPM folder.
