running jsp via execution step command

Dear guys,

I need your help.

I would like to run a jsp file as an execution step command.
The jsp file should display some information for the users, nothing else.
I know there is another option using e.g. status dependency to display information,
but it is hard to implement it because of the expectation and design.
So, the only solution in my case is to run a jsp from an execution step.
But I can not let it run, using the info from the forum:
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1286069

- If I run the jsp from execution step using the command
ksc_run_jsp_report /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp,
the log says report No Report ID provided.

Running report /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp
Posting report request to http://12.34.5.64:8082/itg/servlet/RunJspReport
Error running report.
An error occurred during command parsing.
(KNTA-10127) No Report ID provided.

- If I use a report id (ksc_run_jsp_report /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp REPORT_ID=30680),
the log says:
An error occurred during command parsing.
(KNTA-10127) JSP file /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp REPORT_ID=30680 could not be found on the server.
Failed

- If I use the command
ksc_run_jsp_report /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp REPORT_ID=30680 USER_ID=100028 ksc_end_report_parameters,
An error occurred during command parsing.
(KNTA-10127) JSP file /web/knta/rpt/test.jsp REPORT_ID=30680 USER_ID=100028 ksc_end_report_parameters could not be found on the server.
Failed

Could you please give me some hint how to configure it correctly?

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your help.
Cheers,
Zoltan

Re: running jsp via execution step command

Hi Zoltan,

Were you able to acheive this?
I am also facing similar problems while trying to Run a JSP report through an execution command.

It throws this error -

Running report /web/knta/drv/rpt/ProjectStatus6.jsp
Posting report request to http://10.172.16.116:8011/itg/servlet/RunJspReport
Error running report.
ORA-00936: missing expression

There is no way to determine what it is missing. If you were able to do this, please share your knowledge.

Mamta

Re: running jsp via execution step command

Dear Mamta,

I opened an HP support case for this issue and recieved some pieces of information.

I can share this information with you, but It is a hugh conversation thread, so I do not want to copy the whole one into this forum.

If you give me your email address, I am going to send you all the information.

Anyway I could not realize the customer's expectation this way. All the details will be in the mail.

Cheers,
Zoltan

Hi Salgo,

Can you upload the file into forum, if it is less than 1MB - that will be reference for others also.
