We have a resource pool structure where we have several pools that exist for roll-up purposes only - they contain no resources themselves. Has anyone found a good way to exclude these pools from being selectable when positions are being added to staffing profiles?
I have a similar situation with the resource pool hierarchy, but the only difference is that we do want the rolled-up resource pools to be selectable in the staffing profile creation process. In this manner, when a more generic resource or a resource which does not exist in the organization is required, the position will be routed to the manager of the rolled-up resource pool who will be able to take the appropriate decision.
Of course, this relies also in the procedures implemented in the organization, but maybe you can try positioning it like this.
