parameter value not saved on database

Hi All,

Is there anyone from the group who has the same issue? Thanks.

1. Request type has a rule. This is calling a Oracle function and the result will be stored in a parameter.
select TSR_FOLDER_PERMISSION.GET_CC_PERMISSION_C([REQ.REQUEST_ID],[REQ.CREATED_BY]), TSR_FOLDER_PERMISSION.GET_CC_PERMISSION_C([REQ.REQUEST_ID],[REQ.CREATED_BY]) from dual

2. We can see from the UI that the value is there, however not in the database.

3. We tried to click on Action button from the request to see whether it will be saved in the DB but still not saved.

4. We click on out of the box save button and the value is stored in the database.

I believe that if there is an action done, it should have been considered as Save action and the value must be stored in the database.

Why is the behavior not as such?

Re: parameter value not saved on database

page on load rules work like that, wheter update your oracle function to update parameter fields via db level or you should change rule to other types field change, transition etc

Re: parameter value not saved on database

Hi..

Please pass the tokens in single quotes. Like shown below:

TSR_FOLDER_PERMISSION.GET_CC_PERMISSION_C('[REQ.REQUEST_ID]','[REQ.CREATED_BY]'), TSR_FOLDER_PERMISSION.GET_CC_PERMISSION_C('[REQ.REQUEST_ID]','[REQ.CREATED_BY]')

P.S. Please mark it as accepted solution and give KUDOS if this resolves your query.

Thanks!!
