ksc_copy_request - request ID token of new request in notification

Hi,

In one of my requests I have an execution step that calls the command ksc_copy_request to copy the request into another request. Once this step is done the request is closed and the user is expected to use the newly created request.

What I would like to know is if it is possible (or what the token is )to get the request ID of the newly created request to put in the notification of the original request to tell the user that a new request has been made and the new request ID?

Thanks.

Re: ksc_copy_request - request ID token of new request in notification

Hi, maybe there is an easier way, but you could have an execution step that runs an pl/sql function to find out the request_id and store it in a workflow parameter and then use this workflow parameter in your notification.

Re: ksc_copy_request - request ID token of new request in notification

Hi,

ksc_copy_request stores the newly created request id in token [COPIED_REQUEST_ID].
If you want to use it in notifications and because of the token is only present at run time, you have to create a new request type field and do a
ksc_store new_field="[COPIED_REQUEST_ID]"

After that you can access the new field like every other in the notification
