kConfig.sh script clears some server.conf parameters in v9.12

Hi everyone,

The following list shows the parameters that will be removed everytime we run the kConfig.sh script in PPM 9.12:

  •     ALLOW_SAVE_REQUEST_DRAFT
  •     BUDGET_IN_WHOLE_DOLLARS
  •     FAIL_EXECUTIONS_ON_STARTUP
  •     LDAP_REFERRAL_CHASE"
  •     WEB_DEBUG
  •     MAX_DB_CONNECTIONS
  •     TM_MAX_PREVIOUS_TIME_PERIODS
  •     WEB_THREAD_MAX
  •     LOGON_METHOD

To avoid any future problems we recommend you to modify the server.conf directly and run the kUpdatehtml.sh script.

We can also run the kConfig.sh and then manually open the server.conf file, re-add these parameters as needed and finally run kUpdatehtml.sh.

Kind Regards,

Franklin

Re: kConfig.sh script clears some server.conf parameters in v9.12

Hi,

I noticed this issue add well.

The funny thing is that HP strongly recommends that you never modify the file manually...

Cheers

Re: kConfig.sh script clears some server.conf parameters in v9.12

Hi everyone,

We facing the same problem, and I can add some more parameters to this list which gets removed after running kConfig.sh :

com.kintana.core.server.LDAP_KEYSTORE=/opt/java_PDM/jre/lib/security/cacerts

com.kintana.core.server.LDAP_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD=******

com.kintana.core.server.ENABLE_ANTISAMY=false

Will be there a fix for this problem ? We had a major problem with that, after restarting the server no user could log in anymore because of the missing LDAP parameters above.

Cheers

Stefan

Hi Everyboady,

HP recommends that using administration console.
