is it possible for Negative searches in PPM

Can we implement negative searches in PPM V7.1??

i.e can we make a serach for requests that is not in a particular status.

 

Is it possible??

Any higher version has this feature??

 

 

P.S currently using HP Project and Portfolio Management  Version 7.1.0 SP6.

absolutely not, it have no such function even on higher version, but you can try a  customized portlet to list the request for search  by writing the backend sql with negative filter

But creating portlet will not help us, since we need to export the search results to a excel file.

And also in portlet the filter condition wil be static and the users will not be able to change this conditions as they wish.

Portlet filters on custom portlets are not static. The manuals explain how to configure filters on Data Sources. And contents of a portlet can be exported to Excel.

Search for requests that are in any other status than that one?

is it possible for the users to select/change the filter condition in custom portlets. In our HP PPM only admin has rights to do so and users can only view.

And can u explain how we can export the contentsto excel from portlet???

if u could, pls attach a screenshots. it wil help me better.
