how to add one JVMs

We are running HP 8.01 SP1 on windows, its a single server mode.Only single JVM is used for servicing request.We wanted to add one more JVM for handling Services.
I would like to know the steps to be followed to add one more JVM, or send me the document containing the steps.

Thanks

Re: how to add one JVMs

You can go for noding option on same server...

complete documentation is available on PPM ADMIN guide

Cheers..

Re: how to add one JVMs

Is Clustering required, i wanted the new node to be Service node.

Below are steps I have identified for this

Addition in server.conf

@node

com.kintana.core.server.SERVER_NAME=MercuryITG-Dev.unisys.com

com.kintana.core.server.KINTANA_SERVER_NAME=MITG_DEV_service1

com.kintana.core.server.RMI_URL=rmi://MercuryITG-Dev.unisys.com:60080/KintanaServer

com.kintana.core.server.HTTP_PORT=8051

com.kintana.core.server.SERVICES_ENABLED=TRUE

please let me know any more changes required

Re: how to add one JVMs

In addition to that you could set FALSE SERVICES_ENABLED in main server. User could only enter in main server. Yes you must have cluster.

Re: how to add one JVMs

There is an example for single machine and tewo node clustering:

# PPM Cluster Cluster-Specific Configuration

com.kintana.core.server.MULTICAST_IP=225.39.39.2

Re: how to add one JVMs

Thanks for the reply,
But new node to be only a service node.
So there would be 2 JVM, one would be for servicing User Request and the other be used for only servicing SERVICES.
We only wanted to isolate the services.So is there any necessity to have clustering.

Re: how to add one JVMs

There is one JVM per node. If you want more than one JVM, you need to have more than one node. A cluster is a PPM instance that is running more than one node.

If users will access only one of the nodes, you should not need to have a front-end web server or hardware loadleveler but I have not tried that configuration.

//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
