disabling / removing the copy button for a request

Is it possible to remove the copy button from a request at all? If yes, how can one remove it?
Thank you.
Regards

Re: disabling / removing the copy button for a request

The Copy button can be removed by changing code in the jsp file for displaying a request. This was discussed previously in another posting: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1249977 There are enhancement requests for making the Copy button optional but it will probably be a while before it is implemented.

Re: disabling / removing the copy button for a request

Hello,

We are currenlty on 8.0 and I have modified the RequestSecButtons.jsp under the
Kintana\server\\deploy\itg.war\web\knta\crt\ folder to hide the Make a Copy button.

You Just need to comment the following line

Thanks

Re: disabling / removing the copy button for a request

Hello

Thank you for your quick response.

We are currently on PPM 7.5. I modified the RequestSecButtons.jsp and tried to restart the Kintana server. Unfortunately, the Kintana Server could not be started with the error in the attachment.

What can I do?

Thank you.

Re: disabling / removing the copy button for a request

The line that decides whether or not to display the Copy button is:

        if (requestCtrl.canUserCopyRequest() && !requestCtrl.isPFMProjectRequest()) { %>

in file RequestSecButtons.jsp.

Could somebody please provide an update to this thread?  The links to the solutions no longer point to available documents.

Re: disabling / removing the copy button for a request

Don't modify the JSP... when you can easily hide COPY button via UI rule or from Database.

Cheers..

Hi,  Can you please share how to hide the copy button?

//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
