decompress mismatch -- error on staffing profile link

Hello;

We get error for one of the resource. The resource cat not be assigned to any project.

Before a certain time, the resource could be assigned and staffing profile could be seen.

Now the taffing profile can not be reachable.

We faced with the error: decompress mismatch: components size bigger then compressed data.

 

We encounter similar problem in the past. one of the HP support specialist provided a solution.

The solution as follows:

 

0. Please test first in deployment/test env, and remove the previous patch. To do so, please delete all the files under $PPM_HOME/server/$SERVER_NAME/deploy/itg.war/WEB-INF/classes/com/mercury/itg/rsc/staffing/web

1. Stop the server

2. Cleanup corrupted data by running the new SQL combined_remove_duplicate.sql directly against your instance’s db

3. Delete $PPM_HOME/server/$SERVER_NAME/work and PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME/tmp

4. Unzip the first patch "1_Decompress_Mismatch234228_SP5_SP6.zip" in $PPM_HOME/server/$SERVER_NAME, repeat for every node in the system (if on a cluster)

5.- Unzip the second patch "2_hotfix_27344_12aug.zip" overwritting any files the zip command asks you about (you NEED to overwrite)

6. Run the following sql : “ALTER TABLE itg_compressed_elements ADD CONSTRAINT itg_compressed_elements_u1 UNIQUE(owner_id, owner_type, compressed_entry_seq) INITIALLY DEFERRED DEFERRABLE;”

7.  Start the server and test (any staffing profile with the issue should now be correct and the issue should not come back again.

 

I am attaching files and queries. In past our problem is solved but now it did not solve our problem.

 

Could you help me urgently please.

Hi Eata,

 

this is a typical support case request. There are several reasons for the mismatch possibly occuring and this should be handled by another support specialist. You have all the logs, please create a case. We might have to involve RnD on this, so that's the best option, especially if you're in need of a quick resolution. Should you be in EMEA timezone, you can request me to be assigned to the ticket.

first of all thank you for your quick response.

 

Our support contract has just expired therefore we couldn't open a case.But it is in the progress phase,i hope it will be renewed in just a few days.

Is the issue coming when you are trying to add unmet demand in staffing profile?

 

And does this issue is coming to all the resources?

Yes.

 

We encounter the error in

1) unmet demand in staffing profile.

2) Resource's capacity load tab.

3) The portlets which includes the resource such as analysis assigment load

 

And does this issue is coming to all the resources?

No. The issue comes to only one resource. Other resources do not face with he error.

Hi

we have the same type of problem in a staffing profile. The platform is v7.5 SP6 (migration to V9 not yet launched).

Each time we try to open this staffing profile we have an error page similar to yours.

In the forums, I have found your answer.

You speak of a sql script  combined_remove_duplicate.sql  to correct corrupted data but this query is not attached to your message.

extract of your answer =

can you confirm me that the hotfix is for PPM v7.5 ?

Where can I find this SQL script ?

I have run the 2 sql queries indicated in the DeploymentInstructions.txt file, at point 6b

Both have found several records.

What do we have to do with these records ?
