We have 5 projects in Which we have selected fallowing settings for Project security.
1)Only participants (Project Managers, Summary Task Owners, Assigned Resources, Assigned Resource Groups, Stakeholders, and Process Participants) -(Users who can view this project and its tasks:) 2)Project Managers and Stakeholders(Budget, Benefit, and Cost information on the Project and Tasks can be viewed by: )
and then in the configure participants access, added the security group under 'Stakeholders' Section, so that only the valid users(i.e users of security group) should view this 5 projects.
But even after applying this settings, other users are able to view my projects.
Other user who are able to view my projects has fallowing settings
1)Project Management License. 2)View Project (Access Grant). 2)Create Project (Access Grant). and even in the financial Management level they have only 'view' Grants not even 'View All' grants.
Could you please let us know why other users are able to view my projects.
Actually, our business case is , certain projects are start with the name "Integration". We want to restrict this projects not to be viewed by other users apart from the Security group users in the "configuration participents" of these projects and at the same time they should view their projects that may be start with different name.
we have already deselected the Edit and View checkboxes for "All Users" and added one security group and selected "View" and "Edit" checkboxes for this security group. But Other users are not able to view "Project Details" tab even for their projects also. How can we restrict the users not to view my projects and at the same time they should view their projects ("Project Summary","Project Details".. tabs)
Hi, If these user don't have "Edit Projects" AG they can't create projects even if they have "Create" AG. So make sure your users has following settings: 1. They have 3 AG: Edit, View, Create Project. 2. They are managers or participants that have access according to Projects security.
