What information is required to perform an environment check for SQL DB?

Hi,

We cant seem to get environment checks to work for SQL databases.   Oracle connects, but SQL does not.   Is Cygwin required to perfom the isql check?   The HP deployment pdf doesnt really show an example of a SQL server environment setup.   Is there anything special I need to enter in the fields under database, or anything that needs to be configured on the server to perform the check?  We are using a domain id, and its in the local admin on the server, as well as in a group that has access to the DB.   For server name, I have enter the server name.   DB name=database name   User Login=id  (have also tried domain\userid)    Is the instance needed anywhere?

Thanks

Hi,

Here I think you are incorrectly entring the information.

The Domain Name and User Id (login user name) need to be entered in the SERVER section.

Then in Database section:

DB Name: It is the Database name (or SID)

User Login: It is the database username

Password: It is the Database user password

Port: Database communication port

If still not connecting then please share the Environment snapshot and server logs (after reproducting the connectivty error).

Cheers..
