Using a new workflow

Hi,

Recently, I copy pasted a workflow (in workbench)and would like to use it.

However, from front end I am not able to see that workflow at all!!. I have checked that its enabled.

Is there anything related to permissions? (am an Admin with all grants)

Thanks,
Sam.

Re: Using a new workflow

Hi Sam,

Make sure that the Request type that you are trying to view from the front end, has the Default workflow rule set to the copied workflow.

Re: Using a new workflow

Front end means 'Graphical Workflow' or somewhere in 'Dashboard'?

Re: Using a new workflow

Front end means - from where normal users creates requests.

Nisha, thanks.

At moment I have following queries:
1. I copy-pasted one request (from workbench under demand management->Request Types pane). I could see it in 'Request Types' pane but not in 'Request Header' - anything i need to link?

2. How to attach workflow to this newly added request?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sam.

>>>>> Alright, in the Request Types screen from the workbench, there is a tab called Rules. This is where the workflow is linked to the request type. If you have a rule created - just modify the Workflow name to point to the nopied workflow name. If not attached is a document with steps to create a new rule and assign a workflow to it.

2. How to attach workflow to this newly added request?
>>> Document attached.

Let me know how it goes.

Re: Using a new workflow

Nisha/Mahendran,

Thanks. I was able to link newly created request type (Rnew) with new workflow(Wnew).

I copy-pasted existing workflow to be used by Rnew. I want to change the execution and decision steps attached with Wnew. However, am not able to find that.

Is there anything specifically I need to do or any specific permission? (am an admin with ALl grants)

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
