Upgrading from 7.5 to 9.1 suggestions

Hello;

We are using PPM 7.5 with SP6.

We are considering to upgrade PPM.

Could we directly upgrade to 9.1 from 7.5 with SP6 ? Or, must we upgrade to PPM8 first.

I read "PPM9.10_Upgrade.PDF" document. It says that we must upgrade PPM 8 first. Is there any chance using a way around this? any suggestions?

Hi,

Financial structure is changed after PPM 8. I think consider HP warning.

Hi Eata,

You cannot directly upgrade form 7.5 to 9.1, on doing so the upgradde scripts will fail.

So follow the HP's recommendation.

Cheers..

Re: Upgrading from 7.5 to 9.1 suggestions

Hi AlexSavencu

We are trying to upgrade from PPM 7.5 to 9.1 but we have read that we have to move to 8.0 first and then to 9.1

Since it will be a long procedure, could you please help us with the 7.5 to 9.1 direct update process.

Regards,

Customs09

Re: Upgrading from 7.5 to 9.1 suggestions

Hello, Customs09,

We just performed an upgrade of an implementation, from 7.5 to 9.12, and in total it took 2 hours.

However, you really need to be careful about the impact of the upgrade in your existing implementation - usually you should employ professional services.

cheers
