Updated JSP file not running when executing report

Hello All,

We are having an issue with running updated .jsp files in PPM. When we upload a newer version of the .jsp file for our custom PPM reports, the old file is still being ran. The only way we can see the updates is to rename the .jsp,  and update the command on the report to run the new file name. We tried running the cache manager and that did not help us. We fixed this before, but we cant remember how. Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that we don't have to rename files?

Thanks

Jajcen

Re: Updated JSP file not running when executing report

This is actually expected behavior.  The PPM Server will not look back the source JSP file until the server has been restarted.  There was/is a documented server.conf parameter that indicated that it will force PPM to recompile the JSP files all the time, but R&D has come out and confirmed that this parameter doesn't actually work.  The only way to see new changes immediately is to do just like you have seen and use new filenames.

Re: Updated JSP file not running when executing report

Another option is to set below paramter in server.conf file

com.kintana.core.server.JSP_RECOMPILE_ENABLED=true

NOTE: This option is good only for Development enivronment; not for Production evironment.

Cheers..
