don't know how much help I can be, but here's info from my experience. The server log is located in the ppm directory - mine is \PPM\server\Prod\log
When I log a support case, they suggest that I attach the kSupport.sh file from the cygwin application (you'll need to know the user's name and password that the application connects to the database). The other thing support has suggested is that I stop the services, then run sh kUpdatehtml.sh, then restarting the services.
