Unable to attach documents in the attachment field

Hi All,

 

We are having a major issue, users are unable to attach documents in the attachment fields. Could you please advise as what could be the root cause.
we have space available on the ATTCHMENT_DIR and text files can be uploaded wiothout any issue. The problem is only with heavy documents/emails (~ size 200-300KB).

Let me see if I can help you .... Is there any error message? You could attach the files before? It is only with a specific file or any file? You have already attached this file before (you may be with the same ID)?

We were able to attach the files before without any error. It's happening to generally files with size >200 KB..

Hi Mohit,

 

 

When did you started to get this issue? Also, is there any error message on the serverlog?

If you have a cluster and your nodes are on different machines, please make sure that your attachments folder is shared between them.

Hi Randall,

 

We have standanlone config and we are facing this issue from last week very frequently. I have checked and enough space is available for the attachment dir. When user tries to attach then it says page could not be loaded

 

 

There is no error in server logs. Please help!

Hi Mohit,

 

Please try to run kConfig.sh to set up again the attachments on your instance. If it doesn't help please set these two parameters in loggin.conf (PPM-Home/conf folder) to initiate debugging in serverlog: 

A) com.kintana.core.logging.PRODUCT_FUNCTION_LOGGING_LEVEL = com.kintana.core.attachments, DEBUG
 
B) com.kintana.core.logging.SYSTEM_THRESHOLD = DEBUG

There is no need to restart the instance, since these are loggin.conf and not the server.conf parameters.

After setting these parameters, please replicate the error or the behavior. Once you are done with that, disable the debugging parameters and then send us the logs (They are present in <PPM_home>/server/<server_name>/log ).

Hi Mohit,

 

Not sure if you had checked the "com.kintana.core.server.MAX_WEB_ATTACHMENT_SIZE_IN_MB   " in the conf file.
