Re: URGENT ! What does "Incompletely deployed packages" mean when starting ppmservice?

Hi Sevilay,

This might be due to the virtual memory setting of the drive where PPM is installed. Please check whether PPM is installed on 'D' drive and virtual memory is set for that.

PPM will not be having enough memory to run the application so thats why its going down as soon as it is up.

Set the virtual memory paging file system to 1500MB minimum and maximum to 3000MB

Thanks

Re: URGENT ! What does "Incompletely deployed packages" mean when starting ppmservice?

Please change your JAVA_HOME to your old java home e.g  Java1.6.0 .

As these kind of issue usually comes when the java not compatable.

After reverting the JAVA_HOME clear tmp and work folder and try restarting the server.

I think it will resolve your issue.

Re: URGENT ! What does "Incompletely deployed packages" mean when starting ppmservice?

Hi Navaneethan,

I think the root cause with your problem is file system corruption during upgrade.

Looks like the file permissions or access issues in the failed upgrade runs caused the file system to become corrupt.

The file permission issues sometimes are related to Virus Scanners that are monitoring files. Would have to make sure that the Virus Scanner is disabled during the upgrade state.

Solution: Re upgrade to deploy the files missed or corrupt during the first attempt.
