Telnet Error: EDITOR undefined variable

We have a Linux and Windows servers running PPM 7.1. We are connection the Windows box to the Linux box via the Workbench (used for migration).

FTP is working (checks out OK)

Telnet fails. It apppears to log into the Linux box ok and a bunch of commands go back and forth but the Linux box send back EDITOR undefined varible.

Any ideas?

Re: Telnet Error: EDITOR undefined variable

Richard,

You can specify the EDITOR env variable in the .profile of the user that is logging into the Linux box.

export EDITOR=vi

or whatever editor you choose to use.
