Staffing Profile: No Unmet Demand on Months View but has Unmet Demand on Weeks view

Hi All,

I am not sure if this is by design or a defect.

We have a staffing profile where it shows NO Unmet Demand on Months View but has Unmet Demand on Weeks View.

This is confusing to us for we are used to have the Months view.

The staffing profile has a resource which started working mid-month (eg. January 7 2013, but is assigned 1 FTE for the month of January, by right he should only be assigned .75 FTE because he starts work on January 7 and not January1)

Is this a limitation?

Attached are the screenshots.

Thanks.

Catherine

This is not a limitation but it is by design . PPM strores allocation in the form of per day in database  in the above position you have asked for 1 fte from 1 jan to 31 jan ie if we considered working hours as 8 and number of working days as 23 so number of hours you hqave asked is 23*8=184. but  you have allocated the resources 184 hr from 7 jan so  you have to assinged a resource for 1 jan to 6 jan .  you can try to check this by using hours view instead of FTE
