Single JVM to Multiple JVm

Hi
HP PPM 8.0 on Windows env.
Please guide, what all changes are required in the server.conf for adding additional jvm.
As of now, we are having single JVM to serve all request.
Do we need to implement clustering in order add extra JVM.

thanks in advance

Re: Single JVM to Multiple JVm

Yes, you need to implement clustering to have more JVMs. Each node in a cluster has one JVM. The process to implement a cluster is described in the manuals.

thanks Jim,

I am novice to administration side, like building the PPM system.

So do we need to have an external web server to have the clustering to just add another jvm.

please advice

Re: Single JVM to Multiple JVm

The Installation and Administration Guide documents the possible configurations for a server cluster. An external web server or a hardware load balancer is needed to provide a front end user interface to a cluster. We use an F5 switch for this function. If you use a web server front end, you should search this forum for threads concerning the particular flavor of web server you choose. This is a common topic and you should be able to find useful pointers.
