Request type rule to populate multi persion

We have a field named "Portfolio Lead", which allow multi-selection.

When there are more peoples selected, the value of the field would be like "100478#@#100351".

Then there was a rule to put the value of "Assigned To:" whose token is "ASSIGNED_TO_USER_ID".

When to save the request, there was an error "Error 500 - Unknown error".

In the server log, there was below error:

JSESSIONID=702C5F515BBD1E659C1C2B2D7D010245.HPPPM3,USERNAME=bprasad002 server:TP-Processor5:com.kintana.web:2012/03/22-05:19:12.888 EDT: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: While accessing method: [assignedTo] of type: [class com.kintana.core.util.CodeString] with arg type: [com.kintana.core.util.CodeString]: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
 at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor2522.invoke(Unknown Source)

Caused by: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "100478#@#100351"
 at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(

Is there a solution to have "Assigned To" field can accept multi peoples.

The Assigned To field is an OOTB field that you cannot change to be a multi-select field.  This is just a limitation of this particular field and how it interacts within the rest of the system.

Hi Judy,

You can use the field ASSIGNED_TO_GROUP_ID or use another fied like auxilar or dummy to set the multiselect field.
